Roland created the Analogue Circuit Behaviour (ACB) technology, which accurately replicates the tonality and behavior of authentic analog circuits. ACB captures every feature of these original devices, including the fluctuations in tone that occur. The TR-8S is a versatile drum sequencer with 128 user kits, each with 11 instruments and various tone variants. It features tune and decay controls, customizable control knobs, and a velocity-sensitive performance pad for easy live or recording. The sequencer allows for an easy transition between playing and editing, allowing for easy changes in drum parts without disrupting the flow. Each pattern can hold eight versions and three fill types and can be played or chained in any sequence. The auto-fill function triggers a fill every 2, 4, 8, 16, or 32 measures. Sounds may be recorded step by step or in real-time to a 16-step sequencer with eight (A-H) pattern variants. Rolls and the Scatter function provide further pattern variations, including the ability to reverse, glitch, gate, truncate, and stutter sounds in perfect synchronization. The TR-8S allows you to write locks into the sequencer at each step or record motion into patterns to generate everything from tiny motions to major tone alterations. You may automate bass drum tuning, snare pitch, panning, effects, and the creation of melodies and basslines. Motion recording is simple to use, and playback may be turned on or off instantaneously. The TR-8S has eight adjustable outputs that may be flexibly assigned to any sound or collection of sounds.
