Drawmer MC7.1 Active Monitor Controller

$61.91 $108.34
The Drawmer of 7.1 Monitor Controllers Accurate monitoring is the foundation of excellent recordings. Designed for high-end recording and post-production scenarios, the Drawmer MC7.1 active monitor controller provides flawless transparency and ultra-low noise of the highest-quality 7.1, 5.1, stereo, and mono monitoring circuits, as well as a set of useful mix-checking capabilities. You receive 20 input sources, balanced outputs for seven speakers, and a mono subwoofer/LFE output. Individual trims offer comprehensive control over level matching and exact A/B comparisons. Two pairs of headphones round out your monitoring kit. Whether you’re recording hit music or mixing feature films, the Drawmer MC7.1 will let you believe what you’re hearing. All the input/output you’ll ever need The Drawmer MC7.1 has 20 input sources, including two distinct 7.1 inputs (one by balanced jacks and one via 25-pin D-sub) with throughput for routing signals, such as to a multitrack recorder. A stereo input with Neutrik combo jacks is included, as well as a top-panel 3.5mm AUX input with volume control for connecting devices like cellphones, tablets, and MP3 players. On the output side, the MC7.1 has three speaker outs: 7.1 (which can support eight speakers in any arrangement), one Stereo L/R pair, and one Mono/Sub. A true engineer’s tool. In classic Drawmer form, MC7.1 is designed to be a genuine engineer’s tool. The active circuit was designed to properly duplicate the audio signal while avoiding many of the issues associated with passive circuits. It also includes several mix-checking features that are not found on most other controllers, such as level trims on all 11 outputs for precise channel matching and ease of calibration, as well as the ability to switch each speaker output individually and simultaneously for quick A/B tests. Unwavering monitoring accuracy The Drawmer MC7.1 is flexible, straightforward, and simple to use, but its most impressive feature is its unwavering ability to accurately depict incoming signals — and what you’ve just recorded. Monitoring accuracy may appear to be a no-brainer, yet it is astonishing how often recordings are generated with poor monitoring arrangements. And the effects are typically not pleasant. If you don’t know what you’re “committing to tape,” you won’t get far. It is far preferable to invest in two or three sets of reference-grade monitor speakers (along with one or two pairs of reliable headphones) and a decent monitor controller. Why do you need a monitor controller? You’ve spent weeks building the perfect studio atmosphere, as well as a fortune on active speakers, dynamics processors, microphones and preamps, and a whole room full of other gear. Don’t blow it now! A monitor controller is essential to any recording setup, and it may be the most critical component of the whole signal chain, providing the reference for achieving ideal mic placements, EQ, and mix balance. This is one element that cannot be compromised: you must be able to rely on your monitoring to be completely accurate. With the Drawmer MC7.1, you can. Drawmer MC7.1 Surround Monitor Controller Features:  Our ultra-low-noise technology ensures precise monitoring in surround or stereo.  There are 20 input sources:  Two 7.1 inputs (one via balanced jack and one via 25-pin D-sub) with throughput.  Neutrik XLR combo jacks provide a single stereo input.  Top-panel 3.5mm AUX input with volume control for connecting devices like cellphones, tablets, and MP3 players.  Three sets of speaker outputs. 1 7.1 (can accommodate 8 speakers in any arrangement); 1 Stereo L/R pair; 1 Mono/Sub  Speaker outputs may be switched separately or simultaneously for A/B comparisons.  Level trims on all 11 outputs allow for perfect channel matching and easy calibration.  Each of the eight 7.1 speakers may be cut or soloed independently.  7.1 channels may be blended down to 5.1, Stereo, or Mono.  Stereo outputs, including those blended down from the surround, may be monitored via the primary stereo speaker outs or the FL and FR from the surround setup.  Use comprehensive mix-checking to ensure accuracy.  The volume may be changed using the front panel knob or a preset setting.  Two headphone amplifiers with independent volume settings.  Onboard Talkback (internal or external microphone) with level control, accessible by desktop or footswitch. Internal routing to headphones and mono output connector.   Analog circuitry prevents software crashes and eliminates the need for firmware updates.  The desktop wedge includes a sturdy steel chassis and a Kensington security slot.  There are 20 input sources. These feature two independent 7.1 inputs (one by balanced jacks and one via 25-pin D-sub) and a thru output for connecting to a multitrack recorder, for example. A stereo input via Neutrik combo jacks, as well as a 3.5mm AUX input and level control on the top panel for connecting MP3 players, cellphones, or tablets, among other things.
