The Voice Channel offers a variety of digital outputs for a flexible, powerful recording front-end, along with Class A tube preamp quality, clean gain, and an integrated dynamics processor and semi-parametric EQ. For further versatility, the EQ may be patched either before or after the dynamics, and a separate insert jack allows you to use the Voice Channel for even more routing choices. The ART VoiceChannel is a genuine second-generation discrete Class-A tube microphone preamp designed to provide the perfect all-in-one input solution for analog or digital recording. It can produce clean, quiet gain while retaining amazing transparency. While the VoiceChannel’s semi-parametric EQ provides extensive tuneability, an inbuilt completely variable strong dynamics processor delicately manages transients and noise from the most demanding sources. Although separate insertion jacks provide rapid, silent in-line connecting to external signal processing equipment right after the Mic preamp, before the EQ and dynamics processor in the signal path, the EQ may be patched either before or after the dynamics processor for increased flexibility. There is an additional insert patch point just before the A/D converters. AES/EBU, S/PDIF, ADAT, balanced analog output, and 44.1 KHz to 192 KHz are just a few of the many output options available.
