It transforms the amp’s electrical power into heat, which it dissipates. Reducer is passive, meaning it uses resistors to reduce volume, therefore it does not require an external power supply. Passive power reduction ensures correct sound reproduction without changing the frequency response curve, preserving your tone flawlessly – but at a lesser volume.
