$59.44 $74.89
Apogee Symphony I/O MKII Connect 8 Overview The Apogee Symphony I/O MKII Connect 8 Thunderbolt System includes Apogee’s premium, flagship-quality converters and ultra-flexible modular I/O capability. The analog inputs are switchable between microphone preamps and balanced line. Each microphone preamp is digitally controlled and offers 48V phantom power, soft limit, and phase inversion. Apogee provides the Symphony I/O MKII range in four basic I/O configurations: 2×6, Connect 8×8, 16×16, and 32×32. Each Symphony I/O system features a “Module 2” slot for future expansion with one of Apogee’s four module options. Out of the box, the Connect 8 Thunderbolt System includes 8×8 analog I/O with mic preamps, 8×8 digital I/O (AES/EBU or ADAT optical), and a Thunderbolt connection. If you need assistance customizing your Symphony I/O MKII system, please contact Front End Audio, and one of our Symphony specialists will assist you in configuring the right system to fit your requirements! Legendary sound quality. Apogee engineers have made it their mission to improve each new flagship product by employing cutting-edge electrical components and constructing optimized circuitry that frequently exceeds the expectations of the component manufacturers. This is the Apogee advantage. Symphony I/O MKII is the conclusion of this 30-year dedication, and it outperforms all previous Apogee products in terms of audio clarity and transparency. The Symphony I/O MKII interface is a preferred choice for GRAMMY-winning musicians, producers, composers, and engineers, especially when paired with the new Connect 8×8 or 16×16 modules. Thunderbolt Connectivity Symphony I/O MKII Thunderbolt is the most powerful multi-channel audio interface available for Thunderbolt-based Mac workstations. This arrangement is used to connect the system to a Thunderbolt-equipped Mac running any Core Audio-compatible DAW. Thunderbolt unlocks the full potential of Thunderbolt 2 performance, with the lowest latency, unrivaled CPU efficiency, and two ports for attaching extra devices. Run up to 32 simultaneous inputs and outputs per unit, and use the built-in twin Thunderbolt ports to “daisy chain” up to two systems for a total of 64 channels of I/O, or any combination of I/O extension modules. Expansion Modules Symphony I/O MKII’s sound and spirit come from its I/O modules. These powerful modules offer Apogee’s core competency: high-quality digital audio recording. You may expand and increase the capabilities of your studio by adding various I/O and mic preamp modules. Expanding your system is as simple as adding one of the following modules: Connect 8 x 8 or 16 x 16. The modules are “Plug-N-Play” and may be completed in the comfort of your home or studio. Please view the video portion of this page for a thorough instructional video on the installation procedure, but if you want assistance, we are just a phone call away! Choice Card Slot The Symphony I/O MKII’s extra card slot provides you and your studio with more options. Are you currently working with Pro Tools HD? Are you thinking about going native with Thunderbolt or putting up an audio over Ethernet network like Dante or Waves SoundGrid? The option card slot provides flexibility for both the now and the future, as new platforms emerge and audio recording methods improve. Optional cards must be factory-installed. If you want to add another card to your system, please contact Front End Audio, and we will gladly assist you in setting this up. Apogee Symphony I/O MKII Connect 8 Thunderbolt Features:  Provides up to 32 channels of modular analog I/O.  Highest per-channel value among interfaces in its category.  Options for connecting include Thunderbolt (Mac), Pro Tools HD (Mac/PC), Dante Pro Tools HD (Mac/PC), and Waves SoundGrid (Mac/PC).  Extremely low latency performance.  The new Symphony Control program offers quick access to all I/O settings.  Use the intuitive touchscreen display and front panel control.  Designed in California and manufactured in the United States.
