The Nord Electro 7 combines Nord’s latest piano features with the organ and rotary speaker from the popular Nord Organ 3, providing extraordinary versatility in a lightweight, stage-ready instrument. The Nord Electro 7 73 is a performance-oriented stage keyboard that builds on the Electro foundation with a 73-key semi-weighted waterfall action and a completely revamped sound engine. The Electro 7 73 is designed for musicians who want expressive organ performance, greater piano realism, and versatile synth capabilities. It provides hands-on control in a simplified, stage-ready configuration. Nord’s famous organ section is onboard. Since the creation of the company’s first combination organ, Nord has prioritized superb sound design, effects manipulation, and playability. The Electro 7’s organ section, based on the renowned Nord Organ 3, benefits from Nord’s meticulous attention to detail while providing even more options for deep, authentic sound sculpting, including updated transistor organ models, Rotary Speaker emulation with selectable mic positions, and Slow/Fast and Stop controls. The Electro 7 has separate vibrato and chorus control over the upper and lower manuals, which is a must-have for the discriminating organist. Of course, having access to physical drawbars allows you to adjust your sound in real time. Engines for organs, pianos, and synthesizers The Organ Section is based on the Nord Organ 3 engine and has a new rotary speaker with adjustable mic placements, slow/fast and stop options, and updated transistor organ models. Drawbar Live Mode allows for real-time performance management, with presets available for both upper and lower manuals, while actual drawbars with LED indications give instant visual feedback. The revised Piano Section now includes Dynamic Compression and Unison for a more robust and present sound. A new Synth Section adds sample playback to the Electro 7, in addition to analog and FM synthesis. It has mono and legato modes, glide, unison, vibrato, ADR envelopes for amp and filter, and a filter with resonance and FM partials. Program Control and Interface The redesigned Program Section has a new color display and Live Mode, allowing for seamless program changes during performance. Push encoders are utilized throughout the instrument to choose programs, sounds, and categories, resulting in a standardized and fast workflow for both editing and live use. Effects and Amplification The new Effects Section now features rate and quantity settings, ring modulation, and vibe effects. The Amp Section has a new Suitcase model and a new Brit amp, and compression may be adjusted per section or globally. A global reverb with configurable send per layer allows for versatile ambiance control across layered sounds.
