Rupert Neve Design 5024 Overview Rupert Neve Designs’ Portico 5024 Quad Mic Preamp is a four-channel microphone preamplifier with a configurable interface for connecting microphones, instruments, and line-level inputs. Channels One and Two include 1/4″ Hi-Z instrument inputs and a 1/4″ THRU output for sending the linked signal to an external piece of gear. The Mid/Side decoding button allows you to control the Mid level on channel three and the Side level on channel four. Every channel has a Silk button, which activates circuitry that provides vintage-style warmth to the sound. Every channel contains controls for phantom power, phase reversal, mute, and a high-pass filter with options to cut at 30 or 90 Hz. The XLR inputs are all transformer-balanced, and the balanced XLR outputs are linked. Every single channel has bespoke transformers and class-A circuitry. Each channel has 0 to 72 dB gain and -6 to 6 dB trim sliders. When the gain knobs are set to 0 dB and the phantom is switched off, the 5024 can handle signals of 25 dBu without the need for pads, and operate as line-level inputs with an impedance of 10k ohms. Eight-segment LED meters on each channel. Ground Lift buttons on channels 1 and 2 Rupert Neve Designs Portico 5024 Features: Four-channel Mic Pre Based on the 5012 transformer and the Class A circuit. Phantom Power Hi-Z instrument inputs on Channels 1 and 2.
