Neve 4081 Quad Microphone Preamp

$54.62 $86.3
Four Remotely accessible Neve 1081 preamps The AMS Neve 4081 Quad, based on the iconic 1081 circuit, fits four channels of British-style audaciousness into a tiny 9.5-inch box. You may control this cutting-edge microphone preamp directly from the front panel, or you can use your computer and Neve Remote Control software. If you require additional inputs, you may connect several units to create up to 64 independent preamplification channels, all of which can be controlled from a single computer. Each of the 4081’s feature-rich channels may be toggled between mic and electronically balanced line levels, with 48V phantom power, a -20dB pad, and polarity reversal at the press of a button. Got a ribbon microphone? Not an issue. Press the 4081’s Low-Z button, and you’re all set! The 4081 Quad also has a digital I/O option, which gives you four channels of A/D conversion. The AMS Neve 4081 Quad is a simple method to give your computer-based studio four channels of powerful Neve-class punch. Four channels of recognizable Neve characters The Neve 1081 console module was first presented in 1972 as an improvement to the company’s more well-known 1073. There is a reason why old 1081 modules are so revered: they sound incredible! In reality, world-class studios, like as The Village in Los Angeles, continue to employ Neve 80 Series boards loaded with 1081 input modules. The AMS Neve 4081 Quad has four of these renowned circuits, allowing you to inject your songs with the distinct Neve character – the same powerful, dominating sound that has fuelled many successes. Each channel is packed with professional-level features The AMS Neve 4081 Quad is a feature-rich four-channel microphone preamplifier. Each channel has a gain of up to 70dB and may be set to Line (0dB to 20dB) or Mic ( 20dB to 70dB). You also receive 48V phantom power for your condenser mics, a -20dB pad for handling extra-loud sources, and a polarity reversal to deal with phase difficulties that always seem to arise. One of our favorite features here is the 4081’s configurable impedance. This function, which may be activated by tapping the Low-Z button, is designed specifically for ribbon microphones. Best of all, the 4081’s front panel incorporates lighted press-to-select buttons, making it simple to activate these functions. Convenient software control simplifies integration with contemporary procedures The 4081 Quad’s software-controlled settings make it simple to integrate into your current, computer-centered workflow. Connect this preamp to your Mac or PC using a regular USB connection, and you’ll have remote control over all front-panel features. This is a simple, straightforward approach for software-based studios that greatly simplifies the lives of outside broadcasters and live sound engineers. Furthermore, the 4081 Quad is modular, enabling you to connect several units for up to 64 independent channels, all of which may be controlled from a single computer running Neve Remote Control software. The legend continues The name Neve commands respect. Rupert Neve began inventing audio equipment during the tube console period but gained his name with solid-state systems. Setting up business in Little Shelford in the 1960s, Mr. Neve encountered several challenges in developing his brand within a changing technical world. Transistors were new, costly, and difficult to procure in large quantities in the UK. Reliable faders did not exist at the time, which is in stark contrast to today’s environment when components are inexpensive and widely accessible from a variety of vendors vying for bids. Nevertheless, Rupert persevered. By the early 1970s, the Neve firm was thriving, accepting orders and manufacturing bespoke transformer-balanced consoles for recording and broadcast facilities all over the globe. The Neve 80-series consoles produced a massive, powerful, and authoritative sound that characterized the sound of 1970s rock. From London to New York to Los Angeles and beyond, leading studios were adding Neve workstations as quickly as possible. By 1978, with the release of the magnificent 8078 — the apex of hand-wired analog “production” consoles — and the NECAM automation system, Neve boards had become a critical component of any recording studio’s success formula. In the decades following, AMS Neve has pioneered new products such as the VR, VX, and 88R series consoles. Today, the firm continues to push the envelope with cutting-edge pro audio gear that sounds fantastic while intelligently addressing the difficulties of the digital era. AMS Neve 4081 Quad Mic Preamplifier Features:  The small 9.5-inch box has four authentic Neve 1081 mic preamps.  Each channel provides up to 70dB of amplification and allows for mic and line-level selection.   48V phantom power for condenser microphones.  The -20dB pad effectively accommodates very loud sources.  Polarity reverses phase-related difficulties easily.  Ribbon microphones are ideal for the selectable impedance feature.  Easily activate features with illuminated front-panel press-to-select buttons.  Use Neve Remote Control software to remotely control all settings from your Mac or PC.   The modular architecture allows for up to 64 separate preamplification channels.  Digital I/O option offers 4 channels for A/D conversion.
